Welcome to the Hampden-Sydney Fire and EMS page. If you are interested in joining, please fill out a quick application on our site, or see any member for an application. We accept applications from students, as well as community members.
New members are accepted in either the probationary or participating status in the February, May, and September Department Business meetings which occur on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM (18:30).
Probationary members are required to attend our three month rookie school, after which they will be eligible to become a full member, which involves voting and participating in fire suppression activities, as well as EMS.
Participating members may participate in the department in EMS capacities as well as other non-emergency aspects of the department.
