The Hampden-Sydney Volunteer Fire Department is currently seeking new members. Please fill out an application on our website.

New members are accepted in either the probationary or participating status in the February, May, and September Department Business meetings which occur on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM (18:30).

Probationary members are required to attend our three month rookie school, after which they will be eligible to become a full member, which involves voting and participating in fire suppression activities, as well as EMS.

Participating members may participate in the department in EMS capacities as well as other non-emergent aspects of the department.
